You might be wondering why am I drawing this guy so often. There are sevral reasons for that. First of all i am very happy with my design (eh, you narcisstic fuck) Secondly until now I was somewhat unsatisfied with each and every one I made.
Final reason is that Byakhee itself is special. While it doesn't play a big role within the Mythos i find it unique for another reason. If you think of other lovecraftian creatures, Cthulhu, MiGo, Dagon, they tend to get very similar portrayal most of the times. And now look for "Byakhee" in the google images. See? OF this one every artist has his own uinque vision. In this sense it's the most personalised Cthulhu Mythos entity, don't you think?

Figure in Derleth's "novel" the Trail of Cthulhu, where Laban Shrewsbury,a rare hero of the mythos, regularly employs Byakhee to take him either to safety or to some nest,den,keep or hold of the Great Old Ones, to fight & hinder them.
